Five of the Strangest Planets in the Space Estate Universe

9 October 2026 · 4 min read

Some worlds in the Space Estate catalogue have peaceful oceans and pleasant coastlines. Others have living clouds, questionable physics, or an ocean that might notice you paddling.

For this tour, we’re leaving the sensible destinations behind. These are five of the strangest fictional planets in our universe. Pack accordingly. Actually, don’t pack. You’re safer reading about them.

1. Ithvex: the planet that hums

Rare · Resonant World · 1 moon · 33-hour days

Ithvex comes with its own soundtrack. Its atmospheric conditions create standing acoustic waves, giving the planet a constant hum at 17Hz.

Imagine arriving somewhere beautiful, taking in the landscape, and slowly realising that the background noise isn’t your spaceship. It’s the entire world.

In our fictional catalogue, the hum is described as audible from orbit. We’ve allowed imaginary astronomy a little creative freedom here.

Would you eventually stop noticing it? Would everything in your accommodation rattle? Would you spend your entire visit searching for an appliance to switch off?

Ithvex offers plenty of questions and very little quiet.

2. Perthex: the sky is alive

Rare · Living Clouds · 1 moon · 18-hour days

On most planets, you look at the clouds to check the weather. On Perthex, you might also be checking the local wildlife.

Its cloud layer contains complex airborne organisms. Much of what makes this world interesting is happening above your head.

Picture standing beneath a shifting sky and wondering which parts are weather and which parts are creatures. That cloud drifting towards you could be either.

Perthex would be a wonderful place to watch the sky. Whether you’d want to stand underneath it is another matter.

3. Golveth: an ocean with opinions

Legendary · Sentient Ocean · 3 moons · 28-hour days

Golveth’s ocean exhibits coordinated behaviour. Its currents respond to stimuli, yet no individual organism has been found.

Something appears to be happening across the water itself.

Perhaps you drop a pebble into the sea and the currents shift towards it. Perhaps your boat attracts attention. Perhaps you decide that swimming can wait until somebody has answered a few fairly important questions.

The catalogue leaves the mystery open. You can imagine a curious ocean, a defensive one, or something whose behaviour people simply haven’t understood.

Either way, “the sea looked calm” feels like insufficient reassurance.

4. Hexvorn: behaves differently when watched

Legendary · Quantum World · 1 moon · Variable gravity

Observation affects Hexvorn’s physical state on a large scale. The planet behaves differently when someone is watching.

That makes surveying it a difficult assignment.

You look at the landscape, record what you see, then wonder whether your presence helped determine the result. Looking again may not settle anything.

Even its gravity is listed as variable. A morning walk could require more commitment than expected.

Hexvorn is a fictional world for people who enjoy a mystery that gets worse the more carefully they investigate it.

5. Aevorn: nothing about it should exist

Legendary · Void World · No moons · Day length unknown

Aevorn is a dark world ringed by collapsed energy. Light bends around its edges. Its catalogue description ends with a reassuring assessment: nothing about it should exist.

And yet, there it is.

With surface gravity listed at just 0.1g and an unknown day length, Aevorn leaves plenty unresolved. It’s the sort of place you’d admire from a considerable distance while keeping the engines running.

Some people would choose a sunny coastline. Others would immediately ask more about the impossible dark planet.

We understand both.

Which world would you hope to discover?

These five are part of Space Estate’s catalogue of 120 fictional worlds, each with its own name, characteristics and story.

Every purchase randomly assigns a planet and creates a personalised certificate for a symbolic plot on that world. You might discover somewhere peaceful. You might discover somewhere that makes you reconsider your imaginary holiday plans.

Space Estate is a novelty gift experience: the worlds are made up, and the certificate represents a symbolic claim.

Explore the catalogue, find your favourites, and see which corner of the cosmos finds you.
